The International Survival course (ISC) 

    During this course you will study how to survive in Siberian taiga.

 

 

1. Duration – 10 days (5 days of autonomous survival on nature); region – Transbaikalye (Siberia)

2. Date – July-August.

3. Scenario – airplane crash (you will survival near real crashed plane)

4. Group – 3-6 participants + 2 instructors

5. Conditions: minimum of the individual and common equipment and food; autonomous life in taiga, studding survival techniques

6. Official language of the ISC - English

    You will learn:

  • how to deal with danger and risks in extremely remote areas
  • how to make a bivouac
  • how to set up your sleeping place
  • how to make the fire
  • how to protect yourself from mosquitoes
  • how to find and use the animal tracks in the forest
  • how to use an axe
  • how to find river fords and how to cross rivers safely
  • how to raft on the handmade boat
  • how to catch the fish without the fishing rod
  • how to collect and cook edible mushrooms and berries
  • how to hunt for birds and animals
  • how to grab attention from rescue teams
  • Our knowledgeable instructors will also teach you the terrain orientation and stellar navigation (including GPS)
  • acting in helicopter rescue operations (including making helipads)

   

 

 Schedule

    Day 1

    • Welcome to the capital of Transbaikalye – Chita;
    • Get acquainted with the town, your group and instructors.

    Day 2

    • Prepare the uniform and equipment;
    • Get important instructions.

    Day 3

    • Drive to the start point of the ISC (location – Chikoi)

    Days 4 – 8

    • Survival course

    Day 9

    • Back to Chita

    Day 10

    • Relaxing after a challenging trip
    • Shopping for the famous Russian souvenirs
    • Head home

 

    Common equipment: axe, compass, GPS, gun, pot … and that’s all…

    Individual equipment: a knife, a fishhook and a fishing-line, matches, the condom(sex is not included), a bar of chocolate, one survival blacket
